FENCES
Fences
Wood, vinyl, chain-link and custom fences built and repaired for privacy, safety and curb appeal across Northwest Arkansas.
Chapter 01
What wears a fence out, and how to pick one that lasts
A wood fence is exposed to rain, humidity, sun and swings in temperature all year. Without protection the wood soaks up moisture, and that leads to rot, decay and fungal growth. The sun fades it, and moisture swings can warp and crack the boards.
The first choice is height. A picket fence stands about three to four feet tall with evenly spaced slats, so you keep the view and the airflow and give up most of the privacy. A privacy fence runs six to eight feet and blocks the line of sight, which helps with noise, pets and neighbors. Wood and vinyl are the most popular materials for privacy.
Privacy fences take more material and labor, so the first cost is higher. Picket fences are usually the cheaper and quicker build.

From the first visit to the final inspection
It starts with a free visit to assess your property and give you an accurate estimate. Then you pick the material: wood, vinyl, chain-link or a custom design that fits your budget and the look of the house.
Our licensed team installs the fence, and most fences go in within 1 to 3 days depending on size and material. When the last panel is up, we review every detail to make sure the fence meets our standards and yours.
Permits are a fair question. In some areas, yes, and our team can help guide you through the process.
Chapter 03
Sealing, staining and how long a fence lasts
A properly sealed and stained wood fence can last years longer with fewer repairs, and the finish needs redoing every few years.
The two jobs are different. A stain adds color and brings out the grain, with some protection against moisture. A sealer is a clear or lightly tinted shield against moisture, mold and UV rays. Most professionals recommend using both, the stain for looks and the sealer for long-term protection. Elite does sealing, staining and repair as well as new builds.
Wood fences last 15 to 20 years with maintenance. Vinyl and chain-link can last 25 years or more. We build and repair fences across Northwest Arkansas, and (479) 231-1199 is the number to call for the free visit.
